TOM: When's the last time you were on a horse?
CHLOE: If a mule counts hen two years ago at Grand Canyon?
TOM: I'd say a mule counts. Good time?
Chloe nods.
CHLOE: Have you been?
TOM: When I was a kid.
CHLOE: How old were you?
TOM: Oh, eight or nine. I had an uncle, aunt and two cousins who lived in Flagstaff. Uncle Len worked for the Forest Service. My mom's older brother. He and Lois and their kids Tammy and Donny. We drove out for Christmas.
CHLOE: Drove from Bandera?
TOM: Yes ma'am. Spent the night in El Paso.
HUNTER: Drove out in what?
TOM: Mom's car. Fifty-seven Bel Air convertible.
Chloe pulls up an image.
CHLOE: Sweet ride. What color?
TOM tells her.
HUNTER: What was your dad's car?
TOM: Fifty-five F one-hundred.
HUNTER: Always a pickup?
TOM: No. Bought himself a new Corvette for his fiftieth birthday.
HUNTER: What became of that?
TOM: It's in Ruth's garage. Speakin' a Ruth, if y'all're interested she tends to the family tree on an ancestry website.
CHLOE/HUNTER: Really?
TOM: Goes back quite a ways. I'll getcha the website if you're interested.
Chloe nods.
CHLOE: My aunt Kate does that.
TOM: And where's your aunt Kate?
CHLOE: Tucson. My grampa's sister. And her husband Cedric. Are Tammy and Donny alive?
TOM: They are not. But their kids and their kid's kids are.
