EXT. LARAMIE RIVER GREENBELT TRAIL - SUNSET
Wanda and Daisy on a bench near the trail, within view of the Laramie River Historic Bridge. Light trail traffic behind them..
DAISY: You're going to miss our balmy winters.
Wanda smiles.
WANDA: The summers have plenty of balmy. A hundred and nine yesterday.
DAISY: At least it's a dry heat.
WANDA: Seventy-five percent humidity dry.
DAISY: Sticky. How cold will it get?
WANDA: Record low is seven below and it can get cold but usually mid-twenties.
DAISY: I'll take that for a winter low.
WANDA: Move down. Sell. Buy in Kerrville.
Daisy stops them in front of The Wyo.
DAISY: Wanda?
WANDA: Seriously. Start thinking about it, Daisy Dawn.
Wanda gets PHONE from purse when it RINGTONES instrumental TVZ's If I Needed You.
WANDA (CONT.): You in A-B-Q?
Monsoon started?
On the bench on the river down from the bridge about to go for supper at the soup and salad. I just introduced the notion of Daisy moving to Kerrville.
I will.
DAISY: Hi, Tom.
WANDA: Daisy says hi.
Tom says do it.
I love you too.
Talk to you then.
(She puts phone in purse.)
Shall we?
DAISY: Let's.
They stand, walk to the trail, their voices fainter as they walk away.
DAISY (CONT.) A hundred and three, huh?
WANDA: That and you run the A-C, or thirty-below with wind, snow and ice and your heater always on.
DAISY: It got a little cold last night.
WANDA: Yes it did.
DAISY: What's the hospital?
WANDA: A very highly rated regional medical center. I have the website bookmarked. Tom says he'll keep an eye out for two bed two bath in brick.
DAISY: Now you're really planting the seed.
WANDA; And will continue watering and adding sunshine as needed.
Wanda crooks Daisy's elbow in her own. They turn out of view.
